The 25th Annual Fields on Wheels Conference will discuss celebrating achievement and building resilience in agricultural food systems.
The 25th Annual Fields on Wheels conference brings together representatives from all segments of the agricultural industry – from farmers to grain buyers and crop processors, to trucking, railways, and ports. This free online conference is co-hosted by the Transport Institute, the Asper School of Business, and the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences at the University of Manitoba. The event will launch with a presentation by Roquette Canada on the opening of the largest pea protein processing plant in the world.
The conference will also discuss the latest advances affecting the future of the industry, as well as plans for Prairie-wide collection, distribution, and use of irrigation water. In the afternoon, attendees will hear how food logistics is adapting to meet the changing demands for home delivery and cross-border transport.
