BCIA approves membership in AAC and moves to new entrance requirement

The British Columbia Institute of Agrologists (BCIA) Provincial Council has approved membership in Agrologists Canada effective June 1, 2018.  Mr. JP Ellson, Executive Director and Registrar of the BCIA, will be the AAC board delegate.
Effective January 1, 2018, the BCIA initiated a new registration and entry to practice standard that includes the requirement for 5 additional agrology courses (15 additional agrology credits).
BCIA, at the recommendation of BCIA’s council and with appropriate adjustments for BC specific agrology practices, will adopt the National Education Standard that has been approved by Agrologists-Agronomes Canada for the profession of Agrology.
This move towards meeting the proposed National Education Standard expands acceptable subject matter for foundational courses and increases the number of agrology courses required for acceptance, by 5 extra courses.  Read more… New Criteria for BCIA Membership – effective January 1, 2018
