Ce sondage est distribué au nom du Conseil canadien de la santé des végétaux. Le Conseil est composé de représentants de l’industrie, du milieu universitaire et des gouvernements provinciaux et fédéraux et a pour mandat de travailler sur les priorités mutuelles en matière de santé des végétaux. Les informations recueillies dans le cadre de ce sondage seront utilisées par le Conseil pour orienter des campagnes de sensibilisation sur la biosécurité agricole auprès des producteurs canadiens. Risk management, including the use of plant health biosecurity practices, protects growers’ farms and profits. How do you protect your crops against plant pests? Complete this short survey to help Canadian growers like you!
This survey is being distributed on behalf of the Canadian Plant Health Council. The Council is made up of industry, academic, and provincial and federal government representatives and is mandated to work on mutual plant health priorities. The information collected through this survey will be used by the Council to develop targeted campaigns promoting agricultural biosecurity among Canadian growers. Participation is voluntary, confidential and anonymous.

Floods, carbon, ducks and trails: Quantifying and communicating wetland ecosystem services in Atlantic Canada

Rapid functional assessment tools like WESP (Wetland Ecosystem Services Protocol) give the ability to quantify
several wetland functions and benefits, such as water storage, carbon sequestration and public use. The next step is to communicate the value of these functions to different stakeholders. Using examples from DUC’s work in Atlantic Canada, we’ll explore the use of WESP in a land-use planning context, the need to prioritize the conservation of wetland sites based on stakeholder preference; and how to communicate wetland ecosystem services to project partners and the public.
