The British Columbia Institute of Agrology will commence Registered Technologist (RTAg) in Agrology and the Articling Technologist in Agrology (ATAg) designations in March 2020.
The minimum requirement will be a diploma in an agrology-related program, with the appropriate number of credits (TBA). These designations will fill gaps in agrology-related job opportunities that do not fit the scope of practice of other BC provincial regulators, e.g. the Association of Technologists and Technicians of BC does not have an agrology or agriculture scope of practice.
RTAgs and ATAgs have the same rights of registration as PAgs and AAgs, respectively, including voting rights, ability to serve on council, committees, or branch executive. More information will be posted on the BCIA website during February 2020.
